The Faculty of Philosophy is internationally renowned for its excellence in research, consistently ranking at the top of The Philosophical Gourmet Report. Nearly every philosophical discipline is the object of research of more than one member of the Faculty, as outlined on their profile pages. 

Apart from its regular seminars, the Faculty also hosts multiple research conferences and workshops each year, organises internationally important lecture series like the John Locke Lectures, and runs a busy schedule of other events.
