Title: 'Revisiting the Arguments between Socrates and Thrasymachus in Republic I'

Abstract: 

This paper examines the arguments between Thrasymachus and Socrates in the first book of the Republic and clarifies their structure, while proposing a novel account of Thrasymachus' views which defends them various criticisms and allows us to better see what is really at issue between Socrates and Thrasymachus.
