Post-Kantian European Philosophy Seminar (Tuesday - Week 4, TT23)

Heidegger's reading of Nietzsche on eternal return is very interesting in its own right, but also a revealing point at which to compare their views on truth.  Does Nietzsche think eternal return is true?  Does Heidegger think it's true?  Does Heidegger think that Nietzsche thinks it's true?  And--for each of these questions--in what sense of 'true'?  The paper tries to clarify Nietzsche's original teaching, and to use Heidegger's interpretation to bring out the broader differences between their philosophical projects.
